About Bracknell Ice Skating Club
Bracknell Ice Skating Club was formed in 1988 and is one
of the biggest in Britain with around 300 members. It
organises club competitions approximately once a month and
runs an annual five-day Freeskating and Ice Dance
Open as well as the very popular two-day Adult Open for those
over 18.
All Ages & Abilities
The club caters for all ages and abilities from Rink Novice
level to British and International Championship standards.
All members have the opportunity to participate in the rinks
annual ‘panto on ice’. There are subsidised
group lessons
on Tuesday evenings and club ice on Thursday and Sunday evenings.
The active Synchro
section of the club has dedicated
ice-time on Fridays.
The club enters teams each year in several inter-club competitions
including the National Team Challenge.
Club Ethos
The club firmly supports Skating
for All and believes
that every skater, whatever their age or ability, should
be encouraged to fulfil their skating ambitions. It also
believes in the importance of a broad
base of membership leading to a pinnacle
of excellence and is therefore proud
when members do well in competitions, particularly championships.
