The club’s SSJ competition held yesterday evening was a most enjoyable and entertaining event. It was absolutely great to see so many beginners taking part and supported by their family and friends and also generating positive feedback from both coaches and audience.
A group photo was taken of all competitors, the medallists for each class and also a class photo. All competitors received chocolate and the youngest skater in the competition was presented with a prize. This was Jo Boland’s first competition since taking over from Sonja Sharpe as Free club Competition Secretary and all went according to plan with three judges and extra time allowed for presentations and photos on the ice.

From a chairperson’s point of view it was an absolute pleasure to present sweets and medals to such a fabulous and enthusiastic group of skaters! Well done!!

We hope that as many of you as possible will take part in the competiton however please post your entry forms in the brightly coloured club competition entry box (to be found in the little ticket cabin opposite the reception desk) as soon as possible as places will be limited.
