[Added 22/Feb] Congratulation to Bracknell Synchro Teams
We are pleased to inform everyone that much to their surprise the Bracknell adult synchro team won gold at Sheffield on Friday! They beat close rivals Lee Valley, the home team Sheffield, as well as Altrincham and Slough. Bracknell who were first to skate, were awarded the highest technical score despite a deduction and remained in first place from the start. It was a rewarding moment following the difficulties over the past eight months and an excellent achievement for adult skaters at Bracknell.

The elementary team did very well given the number of new skaters and were placed 8th out of 10 despite having two deductions for two falls.

David and Chris did an excellent job and are to be congratulated on their coaching skills. It is to be hoped that BISC can continue to offer the discipline of synchronised skating to members of all ages and that we can encourage new recruits for our U18 teams as well as the involvement of parents to assist with their management. However the situation in relation to numbers and finance remains serious and requires discussion at our meeting on Wednesday.

Finally, grateful thanks go to Ian Smith and Anna Bradley who have continued to support and facilitate the teams in their goal of competing at these championships and for all their hard work and time spent in enabling the survival of the synchro discipline at Bracknell.
