Bracknell Ice Skating Club Email Newsflash - August 2019
Following on from the ‘hold the
dates’ message, we are delighted to confirm that both Mark Hanretty and Mark
Naylor will be running camps on the above mentioned dates. In
addition we will also see the return of Italia Conti instructors who will be
holding an off ice dance class at the end of each day.
All days are open to both dance and
free skaters, and we are inviting all those that hold full passport gold to take
part.
In addition, please
note that the skater must have been a member of the BISC as at 30th
July 2019.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with
fantastic guest coaches at amazing value and I look forward to receiving your
booking. In addition to the Italia Conti off ice session, each day will consist
of both on ice and off ice sessions.
Mark Hanretty – 28th August 2019
Mark Hanretty is a former world and European
championship competitor.
He is well known as a regular professional skater on
ITV’s hit show, Dancing on Ice.
As well as performing as a principle skater around
the world, Mark has choreographed World and Olympic competitive programmes.
Mark will be focusing on components scores during
this day.
Mark Naylor 29th and 30th
August 2019
Mark has helped to create numerous
productions for Holiday on Ice as either their main choreographer or show’s
director around the world. This was after successfully touring the world
with Disney on Ice as both a principal solo and pair performer and male line
captain for over ten years.
Recently he has worked on several
series of the popular UK TV show, ‘Dancing on Ice’ as either a head coach,
skating consultant or choreographer.
Besides his show background, he has
extensive singles and pair skating knowledge from achieving a Senior Level in
figures, free and pairs under the USFSA (United States Figure Skating
Association) system. He went on to compete both nationally and internationally
with the States as a Senior Pair competitor.
Italia Conti dance instructor
At the end of each day, there will be a one hour
dance class with an experienced Italia Conti instructor. This will be an
off ice dance class (usually Street and/or Contemporary Dance) which will be
held at the rink.
Please note that this is not an activity camp and is
designed as a training event for skaters who are committed to improving their
skating skills and gaining further knowledge about the sport.

taken at the time of booking on-line)
Sign up is on a strictly first come
first served basis as places are limited.
Skaters aged 11 and under will require adult
supervision during the camp - this does not necessarily have to
be their parent but someone who is at the rink during the entire event and is
named as taking responsibility for them.
