SLEEPING BEAUTY ON ICE

FOR THE URGENT ATTENTION OF ALL SKATERS LEVEL 6 AND ABOVE WHO HAVE REGISTERED/WILL BE REGISTERING FOR PANTO THIS YEAR

Dear Skater

Thank you for registering/planning to register for Sleeping Beauty on ice 2016.  

Principal parts are allocated to skaters level 6 free and above. The casting will commence early July - the Skating Director and myself will cast dependent on free level, acting ability and availability for rehearsals. 

The principal rehearsals take place:

Monday 26^th September and 3^rd October for script read through –circa 5pm

22-30^th October –school half term week; principal rehearsals usually take place from 1-2pm –there will also be a couple of off ice acting workshops. The Principal rehearsals are predominantly scene rehearsals to run through lines and positioning on the ice.

Availability will be required by principals to group rehearsals which take place on Tuesday and Thursday evening patches -5pm-6pm and some Sunday evenings from 9.30pm –the schedule for these rehearsals will be issued later.

We also expect ALL principals to be available for ALL of the full run throughs –these will be:

·        Sunday 20^th November 7am-9.30am –run thro

·        Sunday 27^th November from 7am-9.30am – dress rehearsal

·        Sunday 4^th December from 3pm -6ish –full dress and run through

Can you therefore please confirm by email jacqui2.adams@gmail.com ASAP – that you are able to attend all of these rehearsals. The rule is that failure to attend 3 rehearsals results in removal from the cast list. 

We have many more higher level skaters this year to consider for Principal parts.

I therefore urge you to think carefully about the commitment required for this show. For those higher level skaters who have not seen our panto it is a full theatre production adapted for ice and requires all Principals to fully learn their lines.  If you are competing at the British, then based on our experience this will clash with key rehearsal dates.

If I have not heard from you by FRIDAY 1^st JULY (registration closing date is 30^th June) then we will not consider you for a Principal part (participation in a group number may still be possible)
